Britt LOVES Sports!
She bleeds Black and Gold, and as the biggest fan of the UCF Knights, Britt brings her infectious energy to every football game, cheering on her favorite team and all 150 of her big brothers from behind the bench. After the game, you'll find her giving her trademark hugs and high-fives with a big smile and a "good game"!
When the football season ends, you can find her at other sporting events like volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and even rugby.
Meet Britt!
Britt's Bunch is an organization founded by a young woman with Down syndrome dedicated to serving children and families living below the federal poverty threshold. With the support of community superstars, Britt's Bunch established a 501(C)(3), a strong board of directors, and a team of volunteers. What sets us apart is that no one is paid, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly to those we serve.
Britt's Bunch has raised funds for five years through our "Britt's Bids for Kids" event and silent auction, benefiting children with cancer, sickle cell disease, and other chronic illnesses. We also recognize the need to support children in the community facing challenges such as homelessness and food insecurity, even if they don't have medical issues. Our commitment is to identify and assist those in poor living conditions, leaving no child behind.
Collaborating with partners like Nemours Children's Hospital, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, and local social workers, we closely monitor the community to ensure that children in need are not overlooked. Through programs like Painted Smiles, The Longest Table Thanksgiving Dinner, and Big Day for Britt's Bunch, we significantly impact the lives of these children and their families. We also launched the "Britt's Brighter Days Closet" and grant gift wishes during the holiday season, providing necessities and joy to those most need it.
Despite our limited resources compared to larger organizations, our passion and commitment drive us forward. We believe that every effort, big or small, can make a difference. For Britt, it's as simple as finding someone who needs help and extending a helping hand.
